Vote Early
If you are unable to vote on Voting Day, you are encouraged to take advantage of advance voting. During advance voting, eligible Brampton voters can vote at any advance voting location in the city, regardless of their ward.

Voting Should Be Accessible to Everyone
Eligible voters who are home-bound due to illness, injury, or disability may be able to vote independently from home.
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
By appointment only.
A home-bound voter can contact the City of Brampton Election Office to request an appointment. Availability is limited and eligibility must be confirmed by election staff.
Once an appointment is scheduled, two appointed election officials will attend the voter's home and provide the appropriate ballot so they can vote.

What Identification Do I Need?
Bring one document showing your name and address. Photo identification is not required.
To vote, you must present an acceptable document showing your name and qualifying address.
Government-Issued Documents
- Ontario driver's licence
- Ontario Photo Card
- Ontario motor vehicle permit (vehicle portion)
- A document issued or certified by a court in Ontario
- A document issued by the Government of Canada, Government of Ontario, an Ontario municipality, or an agency of one of these governments
- A document from an Ontario Band Council established under the Indian Act

- Income tax assessment notice
- Child tax benefit statement
- Employment Insurance benefits statement
- Old Age Security statement
- Canada Pension Plan benefits statement
- Canada Pension Plan statement of contributions
- Ontario Works direct deposit statement
- Ontario Disability Support Program direct deposit statement
- Workplace Safety and Insurance Board statement of benefits
Banking & Financial Documents
- Pay receipt, cheque stub, or T4 issued by an employer
- Credit card or bank account statement
- RRSP, RRIF, RHOSP, or T5 statement
- Insurance policy or statement
- Loan or other financial agreement from a financial institution
- Cancelled personalized cheque
Property Documents
- Property tax assessment
- Mortgage statement
- Lease or rental agreement for property in Ontario
- Document showing residence at a long-term care home issued by the home's administrator
Utility & Service Bills
- Hydro bill
- Water bill
- Gas bill
- Telephone bill
- Cable TV bill
- Bill from a public utilities commission
Education Documents
- Document showing campus residence issued by a post-secondary institution
- Post-secondary school transcript or report card
Health Care & Disability Documents
- Ontario Photo Health Card, if it displays both the voter's name and qualifying address
- Hospital card or record
- CNIB Card or a card from another registered charitable organization providing services to persons with disabilities
Remember: Photo ID is not required. Your identification must show your name and qualifying address.
